What goes into a photoshoot?

It’s a lot to organise, we will start planning up to 3 months beforehand, scouting the right location, booking the location, working out what models will work well together and also what prints and colours will best suit them, we have a large run sheet to go by so we don’t miss anything. There’s nothing worse than finishing a shoot and going back through the images to find out we missed shooting something. Lastly we all pray for sunshine, for the Pink House shoot we did in fact have to cancel our first date due to weather but luckily they were very accommodating and could move us to another date.

What makes a good photoshoot location?

The Coral Bloom collection was shot at two locations, the gorgeous Tallebudgera Creek and the Pink House in Main Beach.

We look for a location that has lots of interesting features and styling so that we can move around easily and get lots of different backgrounds all in the one property.

What we loved about the Pink House was that they have a bridge that goes over the pool, we had this idea of introducing the new range over a catwalk and we could really visualise this over the bridge, it worked perfectly and was so much fun for the all the ladies.

The Coral Bloom print is a beautiful feminine print and we really wanted to shoot somewhere that complimented it. The pool area of this home was the best, it felt like we were at a resort, so much space, great areas for lounges and entertaining which made for great backdrops, and that fabulous bridge across the pool.

Who did the hair and makeup?

All the models did their own hair and make up for this shoot, we wanted a more natural look, we wanted our customers to relate to the models, the models we chose were all different shapes and sizes, we chose an Apple, Pear, Rectangle and Hourglass to highlight the shapes.

Who was the stylist and photographer?
